Tar o Mar mosquito mats use a special action ingredient which is highly effective against mosquitoes the room.
This is heated on an electric heater to vaporize the insecticide slowly and give protection from mosquito biting for 8 to 12 hours. The mat also contains a dye that gradually changes color to show when the mat is exhausted. The insecticide solution normally contains a release control agent and a stabilizer to provide controlled release of the insecticide over the use period. when plugged it slowly emits an insecticide which is both harmless and odorless to humans, but is extremely effective against biting insects.
